Counseling & Therapy: "The importance of family time"

In a world that is constantly evolving and keeping us on our toes we sometimes lose sight of what is in front of us. In this day and age, families come in all shapes and sizes but family time is still important no matter how old you get.

Family time is important because when your kids are young it is spending that time and shared experiences that helps solidify the bond between parent and child.

Research shows that children and individuals with strong family bonds thrive socially, emotionally and academically/professionally. Spending time with loved ones and a strong family unit help children and young adults establish some trust within the world, a feeling of safety and a sense of belonging.

If the pandemic taught us anything it is that thanks to technology we can get creative when it comes to staying in touch with loved ones, so family near and far can bond and find ways to spend time together.
